SCALP

Why Am I Itchy??? Seborrheic Dermatitis
I was diagnosed with it at about... 16. I always had some dandruff but it started to get major and sometimes I'd have sores. We'll leave it at that... I went to about 4 derms. All different ages, and ethnicities so no one can say Dr.Billy was too old go see Dr. Paulaquani she's 34 from Morocco
where they know more about skin lol. They all said the same thing and gave basically the same solutions.
Steroids, Zincs / Tars / Acids Shampoos. The steroids... Well they work for many Desonide Lotion did wonders for me BUT stop using it and it comes right back. Keep using it and your skin will thin and it probably will stop working like it did for me. The shampoos they actually made it worse for me so after the derms it's on me. I did get one good solution. Stop using chemicals until your scalp is better.
So I stopped using dyes and chemical straighteners.
As my hair had a break I tried different solutions. Sulfur 8 did well but it didn't last and left my hair greasy or stripped. I tried Fantasia Tea Tree kit...  Didn't work The shampoo and conditioner felt good and the solution felt nice but left my scalp white and very itchy.
After that I began researching natural products. The first line I tried was Aubrey Organics. The Primrose Shampoo. I still had redness and itching but I felt like I was going in the right direction.
Then I tried Trader Joes Tea Tree... HORRIBLE (for me)!! It itched WHILE I was shampooing.
Next came some relief Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat Shampoo. I went 3-6 days without shampooing or having crazy itchies. I didn't have much redness and my hair didn't feel stripped. The conditioner is also great. It separates my curls and moisturizes some too. These products do contain protein so be careful if you are protein sensitive.  One thing derms have right is you should have a cleanser to alternate with.
I found Chagrin Valley Rosemary Mint Shampoo Bar. It took away a lot of the redness and helped my scalp feel better. I can go about 3-7 days using this product as well. I do an ACV  Rinse afterward to condition.
One thing the derms have wrong if you have dry hair but SD on your scalp. YOU SHOULD STILL USE CONDITIONER. Not using conditioner per their request was my WORST mistake.
Hot oil treatments with evoo and eucalyptus oil or tea tree or whatever oil work for you also helps.
Last but not least eating right, exercising, and staying stress free.
I will go into each section of this indepth in following posts.
